Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup technique that can correct or fully reconstruct eyebrows. Pigment is implanted beneath the skin surface by means of a small, sterile, disposable needle to produce the appearance of fuller eyebrows or to enhance the natural features of the face.
Microblading is considered semi permanent, as it will need to be refreshed every 12 to 18 months to prevent fading. Without refreshing, the pigment will fade over time and typically last between one and three years, depending on skin type, metabolic rate, pigment, sun exposure and other factors.
A consultation and patch test is necessary before a microblading procedure can be scheduled.
This is a technique done with a machine, which creates a mist/powdered look and can be used in combination with microblading to create density or on its own to create a powdery but defined brow shape with a faded front and a crisp tail.
This technique is especially suited to skin types which microblading doesn’t work for, such as oily skin, and for those who just want a more defined look than microblading can offer.
Results for Ombre powder brows last longer than microblading, with the technique being less likely to require touch up appointments, whilst maintaining an even fade out and thus preserving the skin's integrity. The result can be as light and natural or as bold as you request it to be, and the delicate colour gradient achieved by the shading will stop you from having a 'blocky' look.
Gemma will fully detail your aftercare during your appointment and provide you with the products to heal your brows successfully. The aftercare includes washing the brows and applying a thin layer of healing ointment/oil in order to keep the brows nourished.
You must avoid facials and microdermabrasion for four weeks after treatment. Avoid hot, sweaty exercise for one week, as sweat contains salt, this is how we remove permanent makeup! Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for four weeks after treatment.
Cancellation policy: I must get 72 hours notice to cancel the appointment in order to move the £50 booking fee, cancellations after this time will forfeit the booking fee and require another £50 to book. Rescheduling the complimentary touch up will also require the booking fee if less than 72 hours notice is given.
No show policy: Clients who no show to a scheduled appointment will lose the £50 booking fee and also need to pay for the missed appointment before scheduling another.
Late policy: Please ensure you are no later than 15 minutes to your schedules appointment as we would then have to reschedule and a new booking fee would be required.

It all depends on your skin type and the eventual look you are hoping to achieve. We can discuss during a consultation either over the phone or in-person but we also will have a good consultation right before we begin to ensure we make choices that suit your goals and lifestyle.
We can create a look that is either lipstick or a lip stain depending on your preferences. The design is predrawn, although we can slightly ‘overdraw’ it is only on lip skin where the edges of your lips have a lack of colour in the border, as soon as we are on skin that contains pores it will not heal the same. So we can correct some asymmetry but for the most part we have to work with nature.
If you have had previous scars or cleft lip we can absolutely still create a beautiful lip look. I have knowledge of working with scar tissue and how to create a new lip border in these cases, please feel free to get in touch.
It absolutely depends, you must email me a photograph of your current work or come in for an in-person consultation for me to assess if they can be worked over.
This depends completely on the procedure, pigment choice, lifestyle choices and other factors but generally 1 to 3 years before needing a touch up.
